EVBOOST MARKET INSIGHTS

The percentage split of DC connectors in Ukraine | EVBOOST analytics

Find us onEVBOOSTwe calculated the cumulative share of DC connectors from March 2025 — to see the real structure of the market rather than spikes from integrations and data imports.

Period: March 2025 → February 2026 • Metric: accumulated share (cumulative)

Why we look at the cumulative share

Counting “added this month” can skew the chart sharply because of technical events: onboarding a new operator, importing a large batch of stations or cleaning the directory. That is why inEVBOOSTwe showcumulativethe structure: the share of all DC connectors already in the database at the end of each month.

Methodologyaccumulated share by DC type (CCS2, GBT DC, CHAdeMO, CCS1, NACS, CCS2/GBT DC) at the end of each month.

Key findings

1) CCS2 — the steady leader

CCS2 holds first place and grows steadily by a few points. It is the main DC charging standard in Ukraine and looks like the “default baseline” for new infrastructure.

2) CHAdeMO — a structural decline

CHAdeMO’s share is gradually falling. That is the usual path for a standard that was historically important but is giving way to more modern formats.

3) GBT DC — the fastest growth

GBT DC grows steadily. Together with CCS2 it forms the “two pillars” of Ukraine’s DC market.

4) CCS1 — a slow decline

CCS1 is moving towards a niche role. It remains in the ecosystem but no longer sets the direction of infrastructure.

5) NACS — an early phase

NACS still holds a small share but is growing noticeably. It is not yet a mass standard for Ukraine, but it is worth watching.

What this means for charging network operators

  • For CPOs:planning new stations should treat CCS2 as a must-have and account for the growth of GBT DC.
  • For fleet businesses:connector compatibility directly affects operational risk and routing.
  • For investors:the mix of standards is an early indicator of where infrastructure and demand are heading.

Conclusion:Ukraine’s DC market is gradually moving to the structureCCS2 + GBT DC. CHAdeMO keeps losing ground, CCS1 is becoming niche, and NACS is only emerging.

What EVBOOST does next

InEVBOOSTwe plan to publish more analytics: regional cuts, growth by standard, a DC charging availability index and station utilisation metrics.

This material was prepared by the team at EVBOOST— an eMSP platform that helps drivers charge and helps charging network operators scale their business on real data.
